Prioritising green development.
Re-development is better than greenfield development. In our view, rejuvenating an old building equates to saving a slice of lush rainforest or rice field. We primarily regenerate and improve existing constructs, and avoid building on nature-filled land. As much as possible, we utilise the present intricacies of the landscape and the structures that already exist.
Repurposing items.
When it comes to certain materials, fittings and furnishings, we look for items that have had a previous life. Apart from the obvious benefit to the environment through resource preservation, repurposed and reused items often have more character, are built to last, and their patina makes them pleasing to the eye.
